Head over to Sonya’s for instructions!

Here’s mine for this week!

“How much?”

“25 Rupees for 5, madam”, the fruitseller answered, picking up a lemon to show her. She haggled and got it down to 20 Rupees.

The fruit seller sighed as he gave in. No toy for his son today.

This is how most Indians buy fruits and vegetables from roadside markets.
1 USD = 66 Rupees
So 25 Rupees is approximately 40 cents.
And 20 Rupees is approximately 30 cents.

      1. Sure does–thanks again for the help. I feel so ignorant, and haven’t time to Google everything unfamiliar I come across. You’re very generous and kind 🙂

  1. I understand and relate to this one. Very often we save money for our own needs and don’t see how it affects the less fortunate. But, given our current circumstances, our actions are also justified. It’s really strange and sad! 😦
