Once again, a big Thanks to Sonya for hosting Three Line Tales!
Here’s mine for the week!
“How long do I have to keep doing this for?”, the little kid whined, patting the sieve to make sure the flour was sifted properly. “Until that entire batch of flour is done”, his mother’s words brought forward the legendary pout and his mother tried hard to stifle a smile as she beat the egg into stiff peaks.
When the macaroons were doene, he’d happily eat them, he just didn’t see why he needed to help her do the not-so-interesting work. She could just use him as a taster, he thought as he wolfed down the fourth one.
“Daddy, how long do I have to keep doing this? “, the whine brought him out of his thoughts as he looked down at his four year old daughter sifting the almond flour. Suppressing a smile on his face, he replied
“Until that entire batch of flour is done”

Ah, lessons in life, eh? My son is the same – why should he help with cooking when he could happily sit back and let others do the work? Great tale, told from two perspectives very effectively.
