3 Line Tales Week 52 – Almost

Somehow, this one gave me the going from a smaller place to a city vibes. I tried really hard to allude to the given photo!

Here’s mine for the week –

Bags packed, they sat at the bottom of his bed, ready to leave at a moment’s notice. “Everything packed?”, came their father’s voice.

“Ship Tickets, forms, enrollment certificates… We’ve packed everything you’ll need in the city”, they heard their mother mutter, ticking off a mental list before sending her precious children off into the unknown.

Quietly looking around their room full of memories, now stripped bare, gaze stopping at their parents, through their must eyes, the twins quietly whispered, “Almost everything”
